I don't know how many people there are who read this blog, but it's at least worth it to try, right?
I have registered to walk in the Charlotte Avon Breast Cancer walk. It's a 39 mile walk. We go 26 miles (a marathon) the first day, sleep in tents and then walk 13 miles (half-marathon) the next day. In order to participate I have to raise $1800.00. All this money will go toward breast cancer research. We need to find a cure for this horrible disease.
About two months ago my doctor found a lump in my breast. I had already found one under my arm on the same side and she confirmed that it was there. I had to go for a mammogram and an ultrasound. There was a one week period of time between finding the lump and the diagnostic tests. That was one of the scariest weeks of my life...not knowing, and the constant thinking about it. I can't tell you how many times I felt my breast again while I was in the bathroom, trying to see if the lump was still there! Thank God that everything was absolutely gone when I had the mammogram and the ultrasound and I do not have breast cancer. Can you imagine what it would feel like for the radiologist to say "Mrs. (insert your name here), this is suspicious and we want to do a biopsy." Or worse yet..."No biopsy is necessary...I can see that you have cancer. We will schedule an appointment with an oncologist for you and you need to see him/her right away." I can't.
Please consider donating to my fund. You can either mail a check to me personally (add your phone number or personal email on the messages for this post and I'll contact you with my mailing address) or you can go to my personal web-page at http://tinyurl.com/3xonrz and donate there. It's very easy...just point and click! :) As always, if you even read my notes here, thank you. And thank you even more if you can and will support my efforts to help find a cure for breast cancer!

Robin,
I tried the link & it didn't work. I'd love to help you out. Email me with your details & we'll go from there. I walked 13 miles on Feb. 1st for the Cancer Association of Anderson.
Got your blog from Kim's.
